Coupon codes, first-order credits and shipping discounts

Agent coupons are real but short-lived. This page shows where working codes come from, how to confirm one before you pay, and what to compare when a code has already expired.

Where working codes actually come from

Shopping agents fund discounts from their own margin, not from the seller, so a code is always tied to an account, a campaign window or a shipping route. That is why a code copied from a video last month is usually dead today, while the discount shown on the agent's own checkout page still works. In practice there are four sources worth checking, in this order:

  1. New-account credit. Most agents attach a first-order credit to registration. It is applied automatically at your first payment, needs no code, and is the single most reliable discount available.
  2. Campaign banners on the agent's own site. Seasonal events, holidays and anniversary sales are announced there first, and the banner usually states the expiry date.
  3. Shipping-line promotions. Freight discounts appear beside the quote when you submit a parcel, often for a specific line, weight band or destination country.
  4. Community shares. Forums, chats and video descriptions do carry genuine codes, but treat every one as unverified until the checkout accepts it.

If you want to compare the underlying cost instead of chasing codes, the shipping estimator and the landed cost calculator show where the money actually goes.

Test a code in about a minute

Never register, top up or pay on the strength of a code you have not seen applied. The order summary is the only source of truth:

  1. Add the exact item you want to the agent's cart, in the size and colour you intend to buy.
  2. Open the checkout or payment step, then find the discount, coupon or promo field.
  3. Paste the code and apply it, then read the order summary — not the toast message.
  4. Confirm the discount line has a value. A code that clears the field, changes nothing, or returns "invalid" is expired for your account.
  5. Only then choose a payment method. Codes applied after payment cannot be recovered.

Two useful checks while you are there: the service fee percentage shown before you pay, and whether free storage is long enough for your other parcels to arrive. Both are usually worth more than a small percentage coupon — see the agent comparison.

Three different discounts, three different rules

Coupon, first-order credit and shipping coupon compared
TypeWhat it reducesWhere it is appliedTypical validity
First-order creditItem cost or service fee on your first purchaseAutomatically at first paymentOnce per account, no expiry pressure
Coupon codeItem price or service feeCoupon field at checkout, before paymentDays to weeks; often account-bound
Shipping couponInternational freight for one parcelWhen you submit a parcel for shippingCampaign window; may be line-specific

Stacking is the exception rather than the rule: most systems apply one item-level discount plus, at most, one shipping discount later. If two discounts appear, re-read the summary at the final confirmation step, because some checkouts drop the second one silently.

Why this page has no code list

Coupon pages that list hundreds of codes rank well, and almost every code on them is expired. That trade — traffic now, disappointed reader in thirty seconds — is exactly what the editorial policy forbids here. We would rather explain the mechanics, link to the tools that show the true cost, and leave the codes to the page that issues them.

Where a link on this site is an affiliate or referral link, it is disclosed on the affiliate disclosure page. A commission never changes what a code is worth, and it never buys a better position in a comparison table.

Coupon questions

The six questions readers ask most often about agent discounts.

Do you publish coupon codes on this page?

No. We only list a code when we have tested it ourselves and it still applies at checkout, and agent codes expire within days, so the list would be wrong most of the time. Instead this page explains exactly where working codes come from and how to confirm one in about a minute before you pay.

Where do working shopping-agent codes usually come from?

Four places, in order of reliability: the first-order credit attached to a new account, seasonal campaigns announced on the agent’s own homepage or banner, shipping-line promotions shown next to the freight quote, and community shares that are worth testing but often already expired.

How do I test a code before paying?

Add the item to the agent’s cart, open the checkout or payment step, and apply the code in the discount field before choosing a payment method. Only trust the discount line that appears in the order summary. If the field clears the code, shows no change, or says the code is invalid, treat it as expired and continue without it.

What is the difference between a coupon, a first-order credit and a shipping coupon?

A first-order credit reduces what you pay the agent for your first purchase and is tied to a new account. A coupon is a code that discounts the item or service fee within its validity window. A shipping coupon reduces the international freight charge, is usually issued after a previous shipment or a promotion, and is applied when you submit the parcel rather than when you buy the item.

Can I stack several discounts in one order?

Rarely. Most agents allow one first-order credit or coupon per order and apply shipping discounts separately at parcel submission. If a code seems to stack, check the order summary again before paying, because some systems remove the second discount at the final confirmation step.

A code I found elsewhere did not work. What now?

Nothing is broken: codes are single-use, account-bound or time-limited more often than not. Compare the fee terms of another agent instead, since a lower service fee or a cheaper shipping line usually saves more than a 5% coupon.
